Wet and electric systems designed and commissioned from £1,500
Aspie Plumbing & Heating Ltd installs wet underfloor heating from £1,500 across Bromley, Chislehurst, Bexley and Sevenoaks. Most properties can take it, and we can fit it into a range of floor build-ups using castellated panel, screed or low-profile systems. Because underfloor heating runs at a low flow temperature it pairs particularly well with an air source heat pump.
Underfloor heating turns the whole floor into the emitter, so the room warms evenly and there are no radiators taking up wall space. It runs at a much lower flow temperature than radiators, which is why it works so well alongside a heat pump and why it is a natural part of most of the full house refurbishments Dan takes on.
In most cases the answer to whether your property can take it is yes. We fit wet underfloor heating into a range of floor build-ups, from new build slabs with castellated panel and screed through to low-profile systems laid over an existing floor in a renovation. The right system depends on the build-up you have and the floor height you can give up.
The installation covers the design, the pipe layout, the manifold and pump set, zoning and wiring, pressure testing and commissioning. Getting the heating curve set correctly at the end is what makes the difference between a floor that is comfortable and one that is slow and expensive to run, so that is done properly rather than left on a default setting.
Prices start from £1,500 and depend on the area being covered, the floor construction and how many zones are needed. Dan will look at the property, talk through the options including electric underfloor heating where a wet system is not practical, and give you a clear figure.
In most cases yes. We are able to fit wet underfloor heating in a range of properties with differing floor build-ups, from new build slabs through to low-profile systems laid over an existing floor during a renovation.
Underfloor heating starts from £1,500. The figure depends on the floor area, the type of floor construction and how many separately controlled zones you want, so we price it after seeing the property.
A little, and how much depends on the system. A screeded castellated panel build-up needs more depth than a low-profile overlay system. We will tell you the exact build-up before you commit, because it affects doors and thresholds.
Not when it is set up correctly. It runs at a lower flow temperature than radiators, which is more efficient, but only if the heating curve and controls are commissioned properly. That commissioning is part of the job, not an optional extra.
Yes. A single room, such as a kitchen or a bathroom extension, is a common job. We can run it as its own zone off the existing system or as an electric system where a wet circuit is not practical.
For a single room it is usually a couple of days plus screed drying time. A whole house forms part of a wider refurbishment programme, and we will give you a schedule that fits around the other trades.
