A full service means stripping the boiler down and cleaning or replacing components as the manufacturer requires, which is different from a safety check. Manufacturers recommend an annual service to keep a warranty valid and the boiler running efficiently.
A boiler service is not a quick look and a tick in a box. A proper service means dismantling parts of the boiler, cleaning the heat exchanger and burner, checking and replacing components as the manufacturer requires, and then testing combustion and gas pressures before it goes back together. That is what keeps a boiler safe, efficient and within warranty.
This is worth being clear about, because a service and a safety check are not the same thing. A safety check is closer to an MOT, confirming that the appliance is operating safely and was installed correctly. A service goes further and deals with the wear that builds up over a year of running. Dan will tell you which one you actually need.
When something has gone wrong, the job is to find the real cause rather than just replace the obvious part. Dan diagnoses the fault, explains what has failed and what it will take to put right, and gives you the cost before any work goes ahead. If a repair is not the sensible option on an older appliance, he will say so.

Call 07748 945795 and describe what it is doing. Dan will often have a good idea of the likely cause over the phone. On site we diagnose the actual fault, explain what has failed, and quote the repair before starting.
Is it worth repairing an older boiler?
Sometimes it is and sometimes it is not. If the repair cost is approaching what a replacement would be, or the same appliance keeps failing, we will say so plainly rather than sell you a repair that buys a few months.

Yes. We service and repair all the common domestic makes, whoever fitted them.
